Perch
This post will specificly talk about Perch.Perch have "rough" or ctenoid scales. On the anterior side of the head are the maxilla and lower mandible for the mouth, a pair of nostrils, and two lidless eyes. On the posterior sides are the opercula, which are used to protect the gills. Also there is the lateral line system which is sensitive to vibrations in the water. They have a pair of pectoral and pelvic fins. On the anterior end of the fish, there are two dorsal fins. The first one is spiny and the second is soft. There is also an anal fin, which is also considered spiny, and a caudal fin. These are also called Yellow Perch if you want to be more specific. The method of fishing that you can use for Perch fishing is Trolling.Trolling is draging a line in the water by a boat in a slow speed. Use live bait only. Lures don't work. Worms or Minnows, nothing else. At trolling speed, you should go no more thn 5 km/h, go anymore and its to fast. You should also use a bait caster fishing rod and a good weight test line (20lbs), just incase you get the garbage fish: Sheephead, Gobies, Suckerfish(Bottomfeeders).
